This policy explains how Arise Labs LLC ("Arise Labs", "we", "us") collects and uses personal data through ariselabs.cloud, the Align demo at align.ariselabs.cloud, and in the course of design-partner engagements.
1. Who we are
Arise Labs LLC is a Texas limited liability company, based in Austin, Texas, USA, building coordination software for people who work closely together. We are the data controller for the processing described here. For any privacy question, contact join@ariselabs.cloud.
2. What we collect
- Contact details you send us. When you email us or use the contact form, your name, organization, email address, and message. The website's contact form composes an email in your own mail client; it does not transmit data to our servers.
- Align demo sign-up. When you start the demo, your work email and name, and — if you provide them — your company and a short note about who you would pair with and on what. This is used to understand who is trying the product and to follow up with you.
- Content you enter into the demo. The commitments and check-in answers you type into Align, and the observations the system derives from them. This content is visible only to you and the person you pair with. The Align demo is an early research build; its database is reset periodically and it is not intended for real or sensitive work.
- Design-partner information. During an evaluation, information your organization chooses to share with us under a separate written agreement.
- Technical data. The website is served by Cloudflare Pages and the demo by Microsoft Azure; both keep standard request logs (including IP address and user agent) for security and delivery. We do not set analytics or advertising cookies. The demo sets one first-party cookie to keep you signed in.
3. How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and manage our relationship with you or your organization.
- To operate, secure, and improve the website and the Align demo.
- To meet legal, accounting, and reporting obligations.
We do not sell personal data. We do not use content you enter into the demo to train models that serve anyone else.
4. Legal bases
Where GDPR or similar law applies, we rely on your consent, the performance of a contract, and our legitimate interest in operating and developing our business, as applicable to each activity.
5. Sharing and processors
We share personal data only with service providers acting on our instructions, and where required by law. Our material sub-processors are:
- Microsoft Azure (United States) — hosting for the Align demo and AI model inference.
- Cloudflare (United States) — DNS, website hosting (Cloudflare Pages), and inbound email routing for
@ariselabs.cloud. - Google (United States) — email and productivity tools used to correspond with you.
6. International transfers
Personal data is processed in the United States. Where data is transferred from the UK, EEA, or another jurisdiction with transfer restrictions, we rely on recognised safeguards such as the Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected. Enquiry and sign-up records are retained for up to 24 months. Content in the Align demo is deleted when the demo database is reset, and on request.
8. Your rights
Subject to local law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict certain processing, and lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. To exercise a right, email join@ariselabs.cloud.
9. Security
We apply administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to our stage, including access controls, encryption in transit (HTTPS), and keeping secrets out of source control.
10. Changes
We may update this policy as our practices evolve. Material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date.
